This sweet little May Day flower vase was created from a baby food jar, but any jar will work. This is the simplest of the three versions of May Day cones featured.

Begin by gathering a clean and dry jar, about 14" of velvet ribbon, upholstery trim, rub-on transfers or clear stickers, hot glue gun.

Hot glue each end of the velvet ribbon to opposite sides of the rim of the jar. Be sure that you glue the wrong side of the ribbon to the jar edge and that the ribbon isn't twisted.

Next hot glue a length of upholstery trim to the outside edge of the jar and over the just-glued velvet ribbon.

Add your rub-on transfers, stickers and other embellishments. (I used the glitter stickers from Marcella by K's new Fresh Paint line available at Target).

Here's another version of this jar vase.
