Paper Posies

First cut 6 each of 3 different sizes of rough circles from old book pages. (I used sheet music)
Then cut a flower pot shape. Cut the size according to the size of your journal page. For demostration purposes, I cut this quite large using an entire page of a book.
Fold down the top part of the flower pot shape to make the rim.
Sew the flower pot shape to the page using a rough, childlike running stitch.
Next layer a set of the three circles and top with a button, sewing into place as shown.
Continue with the other 5 sets of circles to make an arrangement of flowers. This looks pretty as is, but if it's too monochromatic for you, add color by painting directly to the assembled piece.
