Fuzzy Bunny Slippers
For this project you'll need to find a pair of white fuzzy slippers and matching white furry material. It's not as easy as you'd think but just be on the lookout. You could try making fuzzy bunny socks using the same techniques.
You'll also need yarn and a pom-pom maker (1"), needle and thread, pink velvet ribbon (less than a yard), 4 matching buttons for eyes (I used vintage shoe buttons), and floral wire.
Pin the template to the furry fabric and cut out 8 times, 2 for each ear.
On the front of 4 of the ear shapes, base stitch a 6" length of the pink velvet ribbon down the center, gathering a little as you go.

Pin the pink velvet centered ear shape to a plain ear shape, furry sides facing each other. Pin together using lots of pins.
Sew along the edge in nice, even stitches. You could use your sewing machine for this.
Turn the ears out. Take a loop of the wire and bend to the shape of the ear.
Using round nose pliers, roll the end. Sew the two ends of the wire into place inside the ear at the bottom.
Sew the ear to the slipper very well. You want it to be securely attached so sew it a few times across.

Make the other three ears and sew into place.
Make a little pink pom pom. I used a plastic pom-pom maker for the first time and I am in love. I can't wait to make more.
Sew the pom-pom in place, being sure to pull the thread through the center of the pom pom. Beware of needle poking...it's mighty hard to sew the pom pom on the toe of the slipper without pricking yourself a few dozen times.
Sew the eyes in place.... positioning them a little off adds personality to the little bunny.

See what I mean? Could there be a cuter pair of bunnies?
