Sugarville Cottage
A project sponsored by
Honey Bend Vintage
Gather your supplies. For this project, you'll need
  • This little house from Honey Bend Vintage
  • Other little figures like these little ducks (also from Honey Bend Vintage)
  • The top of a paper mache round box
  • Paper flowers
  • Paint
  • Paintbrushes, including extra fine ones for detail painting
  • Acrylic primer (check the label to be sure it is appropriate for plastic)
  • Glass glitter, superfine
  • Glue
Begin by priming the house. Paint the entire house.
With a fine bristled brush, add details like the roof, shutters, doors, etc.
Glue the house to the box top. Paint a glue onto the box top and begin layering the paper flowers all around the house. When gluing the flowers to the box, be sure to leave a path from the front door.

Continue gluing flowers all around the house and add a bit to the side of the house for a charming cottage look.
Carefully paint a path.
Paint the whole house, flowers, path with a layer of glue.
Immediately pour glass glitter over the entire project. Shake off excess.
Add your little figures and ta-da! You have your very own Sugarville Property!

  1. I always love the Sugarville properties. They remind me of Christmas at my Nana's.
