Project No. 6
A Paper Man

Begin by scanning and printing out an old picture of a man's face, forward facing. This would also be a fun thing to do with Dad's face for Father's Day! Cut along the face edge.
Cut four rectangles out of paper for shirt as shown. I used pages from an old dictionary. Ruled notebook paper would make a fun pinstripe, too.

Dog ear the two larger rectangles to form the collar and fold the ends of the narrower rectangles to form the cuffs.
Fit the rectangles together as shown.
Add buttons down the front and to the cuffs.
Cut this basic shape out of your paper for the pants. Two sided paper works well since we'll cuff the legs.
Cut a notch and fly as shown and then fold like this...

Fold the cuffs once or twice.
Add a gem or button as the pants' closure.
Cut a tie shape from a coordinating paper.
Glue all the parts into place. You can draw hands and feet directly onto the paper in your journal if you'd like.
