Compose Yourselfembellishing everyday school supplies
Search the supply shelves for fun school supplies to embellish. These miniature composition books are from Office Depot...you get all 3 in a pack!

A began by gluing a shape from vintage sheet music to cover up the area on the original I didn't want to show.

Start layering on rub-on transfers...

To add dimension, you can glitter details. First paint the areas you want to glitter with glue...

Then sprinkle on the glitter and shake off the excess.

For a button closure, sew a button to the front cover. To reinforce the cover where you sew, add a bit of twill tape or bookbinding tape to the area where you'll sew.

In the same fashion, sew a button to the back. Tie a bit of twine to the back button...

And wrap the end of the string around the front button.

Have fun! This is a great way to use up odd bits of scrapbooking supplies you've been saving. Keep one in your purse for jotting down ideas.
Just love this idea for the kids. I make these for myself with scrap paper, but what a great way for me to make use of all my extra rub-ons and the girls will have a blast! So glad I clicked over from Ella Publishing!
