Surprise Cupcake!

Gather a bunch of tiny treats like buttons, charms, toys, embellishments. Get at least a couple rolls of crepe paper and giant cupcake papers. (You could make a smaller surprise ball and use regular cupcake papers). You'll also need a pom-pom or large bead for the cherry on top.

Start with something large in the middle.

Just start wrapping...

and wrapping...

changing colors and adding treats as you go...

Don't worry too much about it forming a ball...

Just be sure to wrap evenly around, sort of making x's with your crepe paper streamers...pulling tight as you go.

It's especially important to pull the crepe paper streamers tight as you get to the end...It'll help you form a nice round ball shape.

Using a glue dot, add a cherry on top and secure the surprise ball into the cupcake paper. And now you're all set to give it as a super fun gift.

{Project inspired by a surprise ball I received from my sweet friend Cindy.}
