Jean Pocket Purse
This project is perfect for an out of style or ill-fitting pair of jeans.

First cut out the pockets...you'll cut through both layers of the pocket, not just the top part. Cut out both back pockets.

Next cut out two of the belt loops...again cutting through both layers to keep it a loop. Make sense?

Starting at the bottom of the leg, cut a slit at the bottom seem...then rip from that cut all the way up the leg. Make two such strips.

Sew the inside top of the two pockets together, wrong sides together so that both the front and back of the purse is a nice pocket.

Sew the belt loops as shown. You're going through lots of layers here so you might need to employ a pair of pliers to see the needle through.

Tie the ends of the two strips together.

And then tie the other ends each to the belt loops.

Add a flower pin, and wow! This is the perfect little thing to wear to the flea market, when you just need your phone, cash, and id.
